Daily Active Steps to Reduce Stress

The smaller the Active Steps are on your list – the easier it will be to get started and make some headway. Sometimes we can procrastinate over getting started on these things – keeping them ‘bite size’ will help cut through that.
Say, for example, you wanted to learn to play guitar – the Active Steps might be:
1) Talk to 2 of your friends about how they learnt…
- who taught them?
- what guitars did they start out with?
- can they give you any advice on getting started/practicing?
2) Work out start up budget for guitar and tuition over first 6-12 months
4) Google ‘learning to play guitar’ to see if there are any useful tips
5) Look for guitars/guitar teachers
- can a friend recommend anywhere/anyone? Send a group text, email or message on facebook
- yellow pages
- windows of local newsagents
- local paper or culture mag
6) Block out time in diary/calender for lessons and/or practise
No matter how small/quick each Active Step is it is a move in the right direction, so feel good about crossing it off the list.
