Be Yourself #7. Active Step – Keep developing. Keep believing

Be Yourself

Remembering when we are happiest and most relaxed…

What pastimes, experiences and achievements give us the fullest, realist fulfilment? Can we have more of these?

What interests and skills might we develop further that really reflect us? Can we keep growing into our ’self’ (even though we are surrounded by external pressures; still caring for others)?

Which version of ourselves do we most enjoy – who is our own best friend – being true to ourselves (and not self-destructive)? Can we spend more time with/as this person?

And sometimes we are bound to feel de-energised by negative comments or events.

Let’s keep believing in who we are, what’s important and what we feel is real.

Be Yourself #6. “To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment.” ~ Ralph Waldo Emerson

Be Yourself #5. Active Step: Be a character not a type

Be Yourself

What’s your style?

What are your influences, interests, beliefs?

Even if you are interested in something that doesn’t interest most people, don’t be afraid or hide it.

It’s fine to be different. It’s good to be an individual. It’s great to find out, and be, who we really are, and express how we feel… (You may cop some flack for sticking out at first. Eventually it will all make sense though, so stand by.)

Turn off the mainstream radio, TV and put away the glossy magazines. Instead, feed your core passions with better knowledge, and action. How would we develop?

Be a character not a type.
